When I look at the light all day, I see the world differently.

I will lead the blind by ways they have not known,
along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;
I will turn the darkness into light before them
and make the rough places smooth.
These are the things I will do;
I will not forsake them.
With camera in hand, living with flair means I set out in faith that God can turn any darkness into light. I look through that lens and see it today. We are not forsaken, and any rough places will be smoothed. The result? Radiance! Beauty! We are not forsaken.

Journal: Is there a darkness today that God will turn to light?
Heather,
ReplyDeleteI love this analogical post about photographing the truth and beauty of God. When I lived at my little farm for awhile during my husband's long unemployment, I was privileged to walk the place with my dog and camera, at all hours and in all weathers, to capture the light on the tiny webs and leaves and dews. My favorite (possibly!) position is at sunset, on the shade side of the leaf! The green is so special then. It's like I want to get each wisp if passing time as it registers in its own specific light all the details of the creation.
Your post had me thinking of how even at night..the darkest of dark, God in his wisdom provides us light with the reflection of the sun by the moon...I hope I can help reflect God's light to someone in their darkness....
ReplyDeleteHeather, I love this blog! It is beautiful and, for not having a very good camera, your photographs are glorious!
ReplyDeleteHeather, nice. I love light. You are beautifully capturing the Light. The amazing thing to me is that I am a reflection of that Light.
